(At least i think it is!) Now, just who the hell am I? Costumer • Musician • " Magician?" • Graphic Designer Maybe none or all of the above. Well,... here's the "get-to-know-me" part. Some of you may know me as the lead guitarist of KISSNATION, NYC's tribute to KISS. We are one of the world's most renowned KISS tribute bands. Performing as "Space Ace Frehley" along with my bandmates, I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel the country, entertaining thousands of fans while paying homage to my favorite band in the world,... KISS.
Based out of New York City, the same city that brought the world KISS, KISSNATION has been on the tribute scene for nearly a decade. They have worked with the KISS camp on many projects, including KISS toy lines and promotions, such as the KISS Box Set, Gene Simmons autobiography & Tongue magazine, as well as working closely with Silvertone guitars in promoting their Paul Stanley guitar line. KISSNATION is the perfect band for fundraisers, promotions, film & TV extras, private parties and live concerts. Look us up! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Some may also know me parading around paying tribute to my OTHER childhood obsession: Star Wars. Yes,..... I am a Stormtrooper. Go ahead. Laugh. It's ok. :-) TK-1245 is my number, and I am a proud member of the 501st. Legion. Since 1997, the 501st Legion has spread the magic of the Star Wars genre through its authentic-looking costumes, and has become the leading force in fan-based charity events. The 501st, also known as “Vader’s Fist,” is truly dedicated to brightening the lives and prides itself on relationships with notable beneficiaries such as the Ronald McDonald House, Toys for Tots, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Legion is world-wide based and divided into local garrisons throughout the globe. Although the Legion has worked for various official LUCASFILM related events, it is important to note that The 501st Legion is NOT offically related/connected to LUCASFILM, nor 20th Century Fox. The 501st is purely fan-based and organized. If you have a special charitable occassion or an event, I encourage you to contact the Legion Garrison nearest you. ******************************** Conventions and costuming. As if I didn't wear enough funny outfits, I am also an avid costumer that attends conventions nationwide. Halloween once a year just wasn't enough for me, so I had to find other ways and excuses to dress in goofy costumes. I've traveled all around the country attending sci/fi, comicbook, pop culture conventions and met alot of great people. You can see a link to some of my favorite costumes here. I will try to keep an updated schedule on future convention appearances here on this site, many of which I have built and put together on my own. ********************************* My latest obsession has been MAGIC. Sorcery, Fraud, call it what you want.... but for some time I've been practicing the age old process of sleight-of-hand and trickery. Although I hesitate to officially call myself a "magicia" yet, others have taken the liberty of referring to me as such. If you see me at a bar, or a social setting, ask me to demonstrate something, and I just might. I may just pull something out of a hat, or from someplace you'd rather not know. ********************************** So, you might be wondering, with all this crazy stuff, how do I actually put clothes on my back and food on my tiny living room table,... well I am a Graphic Designer. That is how I've been basically making a living for more years than I'd care to discuss. Through my years as a designer, I have worked in various industries including publishing and advertising.
